Incredible Award Recepient

Updated: May 26, 2018

We're pleased to announce our Second Defeat the Streets Benefit honoring Harlem United.

For countless individuals in need across the U.S., access to warm housing, a healthy meal and vital healthcare are luxuries that many may never experience. Millions of people contract life-threatening illnesses or are forced to live on the street in frigid temperatures due to a lack of necessary resources.

Harlem United was founded 30 years ago with the mission to help marginalized communities improve their health and well-being through compassionate, client-centered care. From their roots, planted in the basement of a church in Harlem at the height of the AIDS crisis in 1988, they have grown into a nationally-recognized, community-focused healthcare, housing, and human services provider serving the people of New York City.

This year marks Harlem United’s 30th anniversary of providing hope, health and healing to the most underserved communities in Harlem and beyond. With your help, Harlem United will have the funds necessary to build a powerful workforce development program, providing those in need with marketable skills to secure successful careers.

We hope you can join us in celebrating their remarkable contributions to our great city for a night of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at the Harvard Club to help raise funds and awareness for their exemplary mission. We look forward to seeing you there!
